My family and I cannot say enough good things about Watermelon Swim. It has been a total game changer for our kids’ confidence. Before moving to the area, we enrolled our twins in infant survival classes, which in made our son extremely hesitant to go near a pool, or try to go underwater. With that in mind, our first few classes were rough. Everyone, and I mean everyone on the team was empathetic and kind as they slowly worked to get him more comfortable, first with even getting into the pool, and then with blowing bubbles and eventually to putting his ears, eyes, face into the water. Over the past few months, we have seen a huge transformation in both of our swimmers, both in class and on our own in our pool. It seems like everyone calls our kids by name and gives them all the high fives they could ask for. I want to make sure to give a special shout-out to Christian, our coach, who was able to build an incredible sense of trust with both of our kids, but especially our son. He persisted in those first several lessons and it has made all the difference. We truly see this as an investment in our kids’ well-being and are so glad to have found them.

My son is 10, has autism and is non-verbal. I wanted to find a place that would accommodate his special needs. We’ve been with Watermelon Swim for almost one year now and it has been wonderful.
