BABY PEAS – 0-5 months old
An early introduction to Sweet Peas educational gymnastics for our littlest students.
The Baby Peas program is for:
- Babies 0-5 months old
- 1 Parent/Caregiver and 1 child participate in the class
- Baby Peas will focus on:
- Fostering secure attachment with their trusted caregiver, creating memories which have an ongoing positive impact on infant’s behavior and development.
- Develop and practice movements for core strength, rhythm, sensory exploration.
- Begin to interact with other babies
You'll be amazed at the learning and development in your child's class as a Wee Pea, setting them up to grow through our Sweet Peas Educational Gymnastics Program.
The Wee Peas program is for:
- Babies 6-11 months old
- 1 Parent/Caregiver and 1 child participate in the class
- Babies who can sit and crawl, and who may be starting to walk
- Wee Peas will have the opportunities to learn:
- Gross motor and fine motor skills, improving cognitive function and dexterity
- Reach, Climb, Grow, and Explore in a fun and safe environment with engaging instructors
Watch as your little one is eager to show you what they learn in class each day!
The One Peas program is for:
- Toddlers 12-23 months old
- 1 Parent/Caregiver and 1 child participate in the class
- One Peas may be newly walking, exploring their world
- Each class involves:
- Coordinating gymnastics activities with music
- Exploring an immersive physical and cognitive environment
- Promoting neural development while learning the basics of stepping, balancing, swinging, and sliding
Engaging their sense of fun and energy to provide a safer introduction to the next stages of beginning gymnastics.
The Two Peas program is for:
- Children 24-35 months
- Children will participate without a Parent/Caregiver
- Two Pears are independent, curious, and active, active, active!
- Children will learn to:
- Explore and develop greater balance
- Introduction to basic tumbling skills
- Enjoy physical motion to fun, playful songs
- Concepts of compare/contrast, recognition, sequential movement, and patterns
- Increase language development with word association and physical movement
Embracing the growing independence of three-year-olds through structured circuit sequences they can learn to complete independently. The active learning in gymnastics and the child-focused support of our Sweet Peas team help your child grow and thrive
The Three Peas program is for:
- Children from 3 years old until they turn 4
- Children will participate without a Parent/Caregiver
- Three Peas will learn:
- The basics of balance beam work like relevé walks and forward kick
- Tumbling on the floor with forward rolls and cartwheels
- Vaulting by jumping off the board with both feet and donkey kicks
- Spatial learning, with directional and sequential cues, and continue developing their understanding of the differences in colors, shapes, and sizes.
- Fostering an environment of cooperation, encouragement, and support amongst fellow Three Peas
Four Peas continue practicing their independence, rapidly increasing cognitive development, and greater physical abilities to do multi-step activities and use more advanced gymnastics techniques
The Four Peas program is for:
- Children 4 years old until they turn 5
- Children will participate without a Parent/Caregiver
- Children will also:
- Refine and continue to grow skills like kicks with straighter legs and longer holds, emphasizing speed and accuracy
- Differentiate between left and right, group singing and counting, and independent participation in structured activities
Five Peas are typically preparing for or have already begun school. Children will have increased independence and self-awareness, more refined coordination to complete more advanced skills.
The Five Peas program is for:
- Children 5 years old until they turn 6
- Children will participate without a Parent/Caregiver
- Five Peas focus on the lines of their body and form in gymnastics
While we focus on the floor strength needed for all gymnastics, children enjoy more floor activities, from handstands to bridges and forward rolls
Once Six Peas graduate, they will be equipped with confidence, strength, balance, coordination, and healthy discipline that will remain with them far beyond their Sweet Peas journey!
The Six Peas program is for:
- Children 6 years old until they turn 7
- Children will participate without a Parent/Caregiver
- Six Peas “seniors” are ready for just about anything in our educational gymnastics center!
- These oldest tumblers can:
- Follow multi-step directions
- Incorporate reading into the lessons
- Learn and practice straight-legged cartwheels, do a handstand, and jumping to a front support on the balance beam
- Practice more complex bar skills with arm hangs, pullovers, and window pikes and straddles
