Summer may be coming to a close, but the excitement continues at Watermelon Swim! As we dive into the month of August, we have a delightful lineup of events and news to share that will make this season truly one in a melon.
Happy Birthday, Slyce!
We want to remind all our families to mark your calendars for a very special occasion – Slyce’s birthday! 🎉 Our lovable watermelon mascot, Slyce, is turning another year older on Thursday, August 3rd! We have been loving celebrating with our students and families all week. Don’t forget to come to class decked out in your watermelon attire!
3rd Annual Pumpkin Patch and Fall Festival
And speaking of exciting events, as the leaves change their colors and the air turns crisp, we’re excited to bring back our most cherished tradition – our annual Pumpkin Patch! From October 6th to October 31st, our little watermelons and their families are invited to join us for a month-long celebration. Do not forget to also mark your calendars for the highlight of the season – Watermelon Swim’s Fall Festival on Saturday, October 21st. We’ve planned an array of exciting activities and surprises that will bring smiles to both kids and parents alike. From games and crafts to delightful treats and costumes, it promises to be a day full of fun and laughter. Stay tuned for more details and a schedule of activities leading up to the event. We can’t wait to see your little ones exploring the pumpkin patch, choosing their pumpkins, and enjoying the heartwarming Fall Festival. The event is open to all Watermelon Swim families, so feel free to invite friends and family to join in the fun!
Preschools, childcare centers, playdate groups, and other educational groups! We are thrilled to invite you to an exciting field trip opportunity at Slyce’s Pumpkin Patch. Get ready for a day filled with delightful activities and educational experiences amidst the vibrant colors of fall! Come join us for a sink or float experiment, water safety story time, learning about pumpkins and gourds, a bounce house, and coloring station. Visitors will also have the chance to pick out the most amazing pumpkin to take home.* It’s a seasonal adventure you won’t want to miss. We believe that your experiences and feedback are invaluable in shaping our swim school community. For the month of August, we will be having an exciting Review Competition for our families to WIN all month long.
We encourage all our wonderful families to share their thoughts and experiences with us on Facebook and Instagram.
Each reviewer will be entered into a weekly raffle for each WMS location. As a token of our gratitude, we are offering each winner a $200 credit to use towards tuition. The review competition will run throughout the month of August, from August 1st to August 31st. Weekly winners will be announced on our social media pages on Mondays:

Whether it’s a heartwarming story about your child overcoming their fear of water, a shout-out to an amazing instructor, or appreciation for our friendly customer service representatives – we can’t wait to hear your stories. Closed for Labor Day
Lastly, we want to inform our families of an upcoming closure at our school. Please note that all four facilities will be closed from Saturday September 2nd, through Monday, September 4th, in observance of Labor Day. We will resume normal business hours and eagerly welcome all our little watermelons back to the pool on Tuesday, September 5th.
